Finding a Fit: Opportunities and Challenges for Recruiters

Tuesday, October 20, 5 - 6 pm Eastern

A robust pipeline of diverse talent is necessary for firms to thrive in an industry marked by innovation, globalization, a high correlation of asset classes, heightened risk, and the search for "alpha" in a world of increasing passive share. Three recruiters discuss how to find and hire women who will beat the benchmark.

Heather Hammond (KSM)   is a senior member of the Global Banking and Markets Practice and conducts a broad range of senior-level searches across the financial services industry. Heather is also a core member of the Private Equity Practice, where she has completed searches for funds and their portfolio companies, including investment leaders, senior fundraising professionals, business development and capital markets professionals, operating partners and advisors. Heather has more than 15 years of C-suite and board search, assessment and talent advisory experience, during which time she has worked to recruit for a range of senior executive roles within her areas of expertise, advising clients of all sizes and geographies. She previously led the firm’s New York and Stamford operations for seven years and was a member of the global Executive Committee.

Sarah Burley Reid  is  a senior member of the firm’s Financial Services Practice and specializes in executive searches within investment management and wealth management. She also co-leads the firm’s global Private Wealth Management Practice. Sarah focuses on the recruiting of senior executives, investment professionals and sales, marketing and client service leaders.

Beth Rustin is a  founding partner of Jamesbeck Global Partners. She began her search career in 1995 with The Whitney Group, where she built and led the firm’s investment management practice. Prior to that, she spent seven years working with money managers at Institutional Investor Conferences as the Head of Sales for the company’s membership organizations. She started her career with Chemical Bank in New York, where she was an analyst in corporate finance. Beth received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, cum laude, from the University of Vermont.
