Anthony (tony) C. Bowe ('83)
Former Co-Head, Credit Suisse Private Fund Group
Tony was Co-Head of Credit Suisse's Private Fund Group, widely regarded as the leading institutional private equity advisory firm globally. Tony retired at the end of 2013, having been with PFG, and its predecessor at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, since 1998.
Prior to DLJ, Tony worked for 13 years at Bankers Trust Company in a variety of positions in fixed income, derivative, and asset management businesses. In the mid-1990s, he served as Managing Director and Head of Sales, Marketing, and Client Service of BT Asset Management which managed more than $200 Billion in institutional assets, then one of the largest investment managers in North America. Since leaving Credit Suisse, Tony has taken on several Senior Advisory and consulting roles in the private equity and asset management fields.
Tony began his career at Walter E. Heller & Company in Chicago, and also spent two years as a First Scholar with The First National Bank of Chicago while earning his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Tony earned his BA from Connecticut College in 1979.
