Michael Eck ('87)

Michael Eck is a Senior Advisor for M Klein and Company, a global strategic advisory firm. Michael has served as a trusted advisor to public and private boards, senior management teams, entrepreneur owners and financial sponsors for over 30 years. He was the Global Head of the Consumer and Retail Investment Banking Group at Morgan Stanley from 2008 until 2014. Prior to that, Michael worked at Citigroup from 1993 to 2008, where he was the Global Head of the Consumer and Retail Banking Group, and at Credit Suisse First Boston from 1987 to 1993.
Michael is currently an independent board member of Blue Buffalo Pet Products, Inc., a publicly-held leading natural pet food company, where he serves as Chairman of the Audit Committee. He holds similar roles as an independent board member with JJill, Inc, a fast growing omni-channel fashion retailer. He is also a board member of USA Ultimate and the co-founder and chief executive officer of Steer for Student Athletes. Steer for Student Athletes is a successful non-profit servicing at risk students from challenging circumstances. Michael received his BS in Business from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and his Masters in Management from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
