Ed Power is a Managing Director at Amherst Pierpont Securities, a wholly owned subsidiary of Banco Santander SA. Amherst is a specialized broker dealer and investment bank operating primarily in Structured Finance and the Fixed Income Capital Markets. Ed is based in Winnetka, Illinois.
Ed has over 21 years of experience in structured products for an institutional client base, focused on ABS, CMBS, MBS, CLOs and Derivatives. He plays an active role in managing senior level relationships with investment advisors, private equity funds, family offices, hedge funds, money managers, banks, insurance companies and pension funds. His product experience also includes securitizations and private financing solutions involving residential and commercial mortgages, leveraged loans, consumer, equipment and other esoteric receivables.
Prior to joining Amherst in 2018, Ed was a Director for 15 years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, after starting his career in finance at Bear Stearns and Credit Suisse.
Ed earned his MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and his BA in American Studies from Georgetown University. He is a candidate for a CAIA charter in Alternative Investments.
